If you want to start an update process at a specific time you can use the functionality to schedule an update. This can be useful if you want to update a system outside of normal business hours for example. As with one-time updates with scheduled updates you can also decide wether to apply all outstanding or only selected updates. To schedule an update follow these steps:
Step 1: Start the configuration of a scheduled update
You can reach the configuration page for an scheduled update by clicking on the “Schedule update” button in the overview at https://patchdeck.com/patch_management or in the detail view of the system you want to update:
Step 2: Configure the scheduled update
Use the datepicker to select a day and time when the update process should start and then select all updates that should be applied. Click “Schedule” to schedule the update.
Please note that if you later decide to trigger a separate update process for this system and the scheduled update has not yet run the scheduled update will be automatically deleted.
