When patching a system you can select to either apply all outstanding updates or select which updates you want to apply.
Step 1: Start the update process
To start the update process you can either click the “Update now” button at your patch management overview at https://patchdeck.com/patch_management or first open the detail view of the system you want to update and click the “Update now” button there:
Step 2: Select which updates to apply
- You can select which updates to apply or click the checkbox “All” to automatically select all updates
- Then click “Update” to start the update process
The process can take some time depending on the size and number of the updates. After the updates finishes the agent checks again if there are still outstanding updates or whether the system is fully patched and you can check the current patch status in the detail view of the system. You can open the detail view by clicking on the system name at https://patchdeck.com/patch_management.
