What is the Patchdeck agent
To manage your patching process with Patchdeck you need to install a small agent on the endpoints you want to manage. We currently provide agents for Windows, MacOS and all Debian-based and RedHat-based Linux distributions (e.g. Debian, Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS).
All agents have a small footprint and run completely in the background. Your users will not notice them and performance of the endpoints will be unaffected.
The Patchdeck agent is designed to work alongside the operating systems built-in update and patching functionality. That means you have full-control over the update process. Want to handle all patching via the Patchdeck console? No problem! Want to quickly connect to a server and install a patch manually? Also no problem, Patchdeck will pick the change up and bring your patching stats in the dashboard up-to-date.
You can also use Patchdeck alongside company-internal patch repositories like Windows Update Server (WSUS) or your own Linux package repository.
